Hi Ed,
Roger F. got me into Weather Miester for trips. I like it. Works very well for planning what altitude I need to fly at and has all the weather info I need on one page and not moving around on different programs.
Thanks Roger F.

talk to rf about crossing the sierra at mammoth. big time saver when you go to alan's
Ed,
I was thinking of coming up from southern Cal. in May to Alan's on the 13th. for an overnight and then fly up with Alan on the 14th.
WeatherMeister rocks. It also has a rudimentary but workable interface for mobile browsers (e.g., blackberry).
Altitude optimizer is worth the price of admission alone.

190 hours in the CT and have loved every one.
Hi Doug,
Yes, I really like the altitude optimizer. How far out in time can the program go out to if planning a trip? (i.e. like predicting the weather 4 days in advance for your route?)
It uses the official winds aloft, so only about 24 hours. This is one of the weak points. If I need winds aloft further out, I'll go to the NOAA models and look (GFS and NAM models seem to be best) or you can look at the page at ADDS: http://adds.aviationweather.noaa.gov/winds/Originally Posted by Roger Lee
