Well I made it down to jamaica with N89WD on Sunday. The oceananic flying has been amazing. Afton to Mesquite, NV to pick up Grandpa. Mesquite - Elpaso - Laredo - Brownsville - Merida, MX - Couzmel, MX - Grand Cayman - Jamaica , Montego Bay - Jamaica , Boscobel. 29 on the hobbs to current location. Hit 161 kts on the ground across the Gulf at 7500. The CT is running superb. Leave tomorrow for Cayman Brac. If I can figure out how to post blogs and pix I will do. I have some awesome pix's of 9WD with customs people, 747 Virgin Alantic, all kinds of cool photos. here is my spot link. Feel free to check in.

Longest leg was Brownsville to Meroda, MX -- 522nm. Thats the leg I got 161kts over the ground.

The shared Spot link works fine for me. It looks like the Spot is missing many of it's 10-minute track reports... some of them are over an hour apart. Spot1 or Spot2 ???

I noticed the sharing link is not exactly reporting every 10 minutes. On my side of the account it reported 2 times per hour. It took 29hrs on the hobbs to get from Afton to Bocobel, jamaica. The spot reported 62 times. The shared link shows about 50 reports. Anyway, I'm heading for Cayman Brac this am for a few days then back to Cancun, Key West, and up to Sebring for the Rotax class. ALL YOU GUYS need to try this. This trip was even more fun than taking 9WD to the Bahamas for 2 weeks. I mean Stella Maris, Treasure Cay, Grand Bahama and even Nassau was fun....but this beats ALL!! I'm trying to post pix on the blog portion but having trouble, will try later. Boscobel to Montego Bay to clear customs then 133nm to Cayman Brac.

It's the 1st generation of SPOT. I am borrowing it from a friend that rents hangar space from me. Thought I'd try it and I'd recommend it to anyone who could not be within cell phone contact with family. My cell phone does not work here since I used a "home town" company, but at least they buy tires from me...ATT and Verizion doesn't
