    Default On-Line Flight Planning Tools

Do you have any free on-line flight planning tools that you particularly like? I really liked www.landings.com, but their flight planning has been on the blink lately. I played with www.aeroplanner.com tonight, EAA's flight planner, which looks pretty good. Any other recommendations?

AOPA's new flight plan is pretty neat.

AOPA's is pretty nice and has improvements added often, as they tweak it..... BUT even after several complaints/emails, they still don't have the CT listed in their aircraft database! The FAA designator "FDCT" is not recognized. I've pointed this out to them, since the first day of testing the new system, and they said they would fix it..... oh well, 6 months, not yet.

Also, you can't submit DVFR flight plans through the AOPA system.

    I use weathermeister.com the most.

I've played around with fltplan.com and aeroplanner.com and gearsdown.com (which now seems to be down). Skyvector.com has added some flight planning. Flyagogo.net has charts & weather, but no planning.

Voyager from Seattle Avionics is also an excellant tool. It will route you around restricted zones, choose altitudes based on winds aloft, pick fuel stops and much more depending on which subscription you choose including a free one. I expecially like the terrain feature showing elevations along your route.

www.landings.com seems to be up and running again. It's got a lot of features that I find helpful for flight planning.

For weather, I like AOPA's site.

We enjoy WeatherM as well. But have found http://www.navmonster.com/ easy and fast to use. We use it to get rapid TAF's for the area.
