    Sorry Roger,

I actually flew right over McMinville direct talong the gorge from the Dalles through low ceilings and some rain. South of Portland things cleared right up which was once again predicted by the 496.

I was with a Super Cub and a C-170B and was literally at 40% power alomost full fine pitch at 95kts burning 3.8 gallons/hour but we were keen to make it to Siletz Bay and into California that day.

I must say what a country you guys live in! Beautiful and awesome for this type of flying.

The scenery on thisa trip is second to none.

Loved every minute of it, plus the cameraderie of three guys in three planes, the only way to travel.

Total trip was 2500nm with 26 hours of flying (I know 40% power) with just over 110 gallons of fuel for the whole trip.

We will be back to see the Spruce Goose.

    Cheers,

    Jos

    Awesome.

    Almost like being there.

Looks like you had a very nice tie-down for your trip. Was that custom made?

Hooks on the wing came with the plane as well as the strap around the tail.

What is left are some tie downs from your local hardware store.

Oh, forgot the prop covers to keep the moisture out came with the plane.

Takes 5 minutes to secure the plane.

    Cheers,

    Jos
