Default Flying the CTSW with my four year old daugther

Not posted here for quite some time. But thought I'd post about about a flight I did yesterday evening with my four year old daughter, Poppy. She has flown several times with both me and my wife several times in a Cessna 150 and enjoyed herself, so thought we'd see how she got on in the CT. Needless to say she loved it

The CT itself actually lends itself far better to flying with youngsters - the four point harness can be resized than the belts in the Cessna so Poppy was more secure. Additionally, as the seats can be slid right back there was no chance of her grabbing the controls. The door locking/opening mechanism is also far more child proof .

Did a 30 min local flight from Barton, across to the Manchester Low Level Route then up to just South of Blackburn, (so Poppy could see where she goes ice skating ), and then just East of Winter Hill TV mast and back to Barton.

Another advantage of the CT over the C150 for kids is that the visibility is far better from the cockpit - no sitting on a cushion !!

Brilliant flight, and made all the better when we asked Poppy who she liked flying with most, me or her Mum, she replied "Daddy!!"

Good photos. It looks your daughter was enjoying the experience. Maybe she will be an airline pilot one day.

Hi, guess you're the guy that phoned Mainair Microlight School at Barton asking the same question today?! Hopefully Chris Copple has pointed you in the right direction? I use their aircraft.

    Cheers

As I recall, John Hurst of Sebring Aviation in Sebring, FL had visors like those on his CT.

G-CERA used to have the standard seats in - these 'high back' ones were put in a few months back and are now an option on new models. I'm flying again this evening, so will ask where and how they are sourced.
