    Default Laughlin, Nv. trip

    Hi Guys,

Anyone in the southwest interested in flying into Laughlin, Nv. for a 1 or 2 night stay? We can take in a show and fly the Colorado river. It's cheap to stay there at most any hotel.

    Roger,

Sounds like a fun trip, when were you thinking of going ? January perhaps ?

Looks like about a four hour flight for us, we would more than likely go down south then head east, O22-WJF-DAG-KIFP.

I will talk to Cindy, might be nice to get away for Thur-Fri-Sat trip after the holidays.

    Hi Alan,

Almost anytime is good. Lynn will be in Seattle Jan 9-22. Any other time is ok. Just let us know.

fly via mammoth and save an hour, i'll probably quit recommending this in another year or two.

actually roger fane flew back from page with me and erin, worked out well and saved a lot of time.

    Default Laughlin Trip

    Ed,

Guess I need to fly to Mammoth so I will feel more comfortable flying that route. I usually pick flat terrain with more airports, (like flying down the Central Valley) over mountainous areas with fewer airports.

    Alan,

here's a plan, now that there is a lot of snow, bring your camera.

    nice calm day;
i'll leave early and fly to columbia,
i'll escort you to mammoth yosemite airport for the experience (and a stop to put tape on your radiator if needed)
then a short, scenic flight to bridgeport where you can buy me breakfast or a burger
we'll then fly a semi-circular route from bridgeport to columbia unless you want to use your 02.
once your on the decent to westside, i'll go home.

i'll get early morning light over yosemite valley.

    Ed,

That sounds like fun, we will have to do that soon, I haven't been to Bridgeport for many years, would love to fly there in the CT.

I got a phone call today, the FAA has approved my 3rd class medical, soon I will be able to put on my O2 and see how high my CT will go.

Now I just need to get the TruTrack ADI Pilot I installed so I can fly at night, it's on order and should be here soon.
