I was checking my first page log book total and I miscount . I forgot to log 1 hr. Can I just use white out to fix the total?

I've seen white out used , but I prefer a single line through the incorrect number so people (FAA) can see what changed. If it was a complete entry that is missing you can put it in the next open slot even if the date line doesn't match. Tom
well the problem is that on the total I am missing 1 hr that didn't add in the total line.

Do not "white out" or obliterate any entry. Just put a line through it.

When I did my check ride, the examiner stated that only the entries need to be in ink. The totals can be in pencil.
