Rides like big wheel machine....you can't walk through London without seeing one every 5 minutes.

I had mine made (they only make to order) in part titanium and it weighs in at 12kg.

The next thing I'm working on is a pannier to carry a couple of jerry cans.

Check them out on the web ...with a strong dollar they're probably reasonable in the states. (which is a kind way of saying they aren't here !)

The best I've managed to fold it back up is 25 seconds !! .....and less to fold it away.

If any one's interested I'll do photos ..... but I think there's good stuff on their website and Youtube

    John,
Looks like the Brompton is certainly a better bike. It could be used for more serious travel from airports and carry some small overnight bag. Here in the US some of these airports are several miles away with no chance of public transportation. I have flown for 35 years and competed in triathlons but never seem to take my bike simply because of the weight, hassle factor, and usually on some kind of business trip where biking would be silly. However with a LSA airplane on a "fun" trip if it fits then it would be perfect. Please post those photos.
    Thanks

    John,

My wife and I both have Bromptons and love them. They easily fit in the Archer when we had it and it is good to hear that they will fit in the CT's. It is so handy to have them on a CC and just be able to pedal away from the airport. Gets us a little exercise too!

I would love to see photos of a Brompton loaded into a CT. I'm looking for a folding bike that could fit into the cargo area, but I don't want to purchase one without being sure it will fit. Also, I have a CTLS on order. Is it a fair assumption that the openings to the cargo area (behind the seats and at the rear cargo doors) are the same dimensions as on the CTLS?

I have tried for 6 months to contact the company that sells the cargo pod. They don't respond. Maybe there are problems still being worked out. It's a shame since the pod really looks nice.

With regards to the bikes, I like my Strida. I did not think a Brompton would fit! I am very impressed, since that is a nice full-sized bike.

Has anyone come up with a good "shell" or "liner" to put in the cargo bay to protect the cables etc.? I noticed the hardware in the CTLS cargo bay seems a bit more exposed than in the CTSW, but I guess it's not a problem.
