I recently purchased a 1/5 share in a C-172 after being gone from aviation for a while. I literally stumbled onto my 172 when I was looking for a used Jeep (the Aviation category in the want ads was in the column next to used Jeeps that day). I wasn’t in the market, but when I saw the ad I jumped on it and decided to keep driving the mini-van and start flying again.

It is a nice plane, IFR etc., but it is clear to me that most of the flying I will be doing will be solo or with just one passenger. I have been looking at the CT and would like to find 3 or 4 partners who would be interested in buying a new CTsw within 50 miles of PDX. I like the idea of the LSA as well as buying a new and modern aircraft compared to one that is 35 years old.

I will be at the fly-in in McMinnville in May and hope to hook up with the Flight Design West folks when they tour the west this spring/summer.
