    Default Spot 2 tracker

    Hi All,

Myself and another CT friend would like to purchase a Spot 2 tracker. They retail at $149 plus the subscription for the year.

    http://www.findmespot.com/en/

The better subscription that has almost everything is $150 a year. This can be used in any type of travel. Hiking, walking, ATV riding, motorcycles auto travel or our planes.
I'm just trying to get a feel if anyone else is interested and I might be able to get a much better purchase deal?

I don't know any particulars yet, but if I were get a dealer status and could get these for a reduced rate would any one else be interested in getting one at a reduced rate. If it is just myself and the other CT'er then I'll just buy them out right, but if several want one then maybe I can get a dealer deal?
You can have them at my cost plus postage if this works out. I'll call them tomorrow.
    Just a thought.

I got the original one before my flight to the Bahamas and love it.

Roger, I'm looking into a 406 ELT for my CTSW and am saving for it but the SPOT might be good to have also. I know that someone can follow my flights, car route, hiking routes, etc., with the SPOT. Is there different levels of yearly subscription? Is there a low cost "standard" subscription that would be less than the $150? Put me down as a "maybe" depending on the cost you come up with.

The bottom line subscription is $99. It still has a several features, but the tracking feature on line comes with the upgraded subscription.

Ok Guys I can get a much better deal. Let me know if you are interested I need to buy groups of 5. I'm good for 3 right now. Are at least two more of you interested? The basic subscription at $99 does do the tracking, but you have to push the button when you want it to do so and can do it as often as you want. The better subscription auto tracks you every 10 minutes plus a few other features.

Take a look at one of our fellow CTer's flights a few days ago.

    p.s.
The door strut replacement is looking good. I'll know in one week. I can then pass this along to FD USA if this works like I hope it will.

    Roger,

Are you still putting together small groups to purchase the SPOT tracker? If so, I'd be interested.

    Thanks,

Yes. I hope to have them this week. They seem to be a little slow. As soon as they come in I'll post it.

These little critters look pretty cool. It comes with a pouch, arm band and small carabiner clip. You cam mount this in several ways or attach it to your body. This can be used for any type of activity. Hiking, hunting, fishing, aviation, ATV riding, motorcycle riding, a road trip in a car any thing where you are on the move in some way outside.
