Are you serious? How in the world will this happen? I would think that there are a ton of potential problems, including:
* Non-certified engine
* No lightning protection in the airframe (ask DA20 owners about this one)
* No pitot heat
I would think that FDUSA would establish a minimum equipment list (MEL) for IFR approval. This would be based on the ASTM spec and not FAR 125.205, which covers minimum equipment for IFR flight. Here's my guess on what would be required:
* Dynon EFIS on pilot's side (Dynon EMS might or might not be required)
* Backup ASI and ALT if Dynon is used (standard with factory Dynon package)
* At least one TSOed NAV source, e.g., SL30 to replace SL40
* Factory night lighting package (or equivalent, e.g., TSOed strobe to replace LED beacon would be allowed)
Note that the aircraft's operating limitations must also be modified by a DAR to include IFR operations.
I've flown our CT under the hood and found it more challenging than a 172 due to the lower mass of the CT - it's harder to tightly hold altitudes and headings in the always bumpy lower atmosphere we have here. We have the analog panel with the ADI Pilot used for the horizon and heading reference and it worked fine.
Analog panel CTs would need to be upgraded to the Dynon EFIS - I suppose you could install a horizon and directional gyro AND a CDI, but why? The Dynon is cheaper at $2800 with the bright screen and backup battery options. Install should run around $1,000 (backup ASI and ALT, running OAT sensor, power for Dynon, installing remote magnetometer).
Don't get me wrong, I would be jumping up and down if I could use the CT for IFR training and then "light IFR" flight, even if it means $10k in avionics (cheaper than buying a new IFR airplane, and good luck getting operating costs like the CT!), but it seems like there are a lot of hurdles to clear...

190 hours in the CT and have loved every one.
