I wonder how much difference in airspeed the wheel pants make, and if it safe just to remove them? That would sure make access a lot easier.

the weel pants don't slow you down more than a few knots

the ct doesn't look very good without the wheel pants and is more exposed to damage from small rocks. i saw some parts at flight design west designed to replace the wheel pants and give a clean look. the worst part is the spacer sticking out.

So far not even the StarBrite, with oxalic acid, can clean that stain. I am going to try now a biodegradeable grafitti remover. I am beginning to wonder what it is, as I thought at first it was a rust stain.

You might want to find out where the magnetic sensor fon the Dynon is (if so equipped). Some are under the passenger seat. I put a small survival pack under there and the Dynon compass went crazy until I figured out the cause. Glad you're having fun with your plane...keep reporting your progress.

If i hold in one hand the rudder from behind and i push it and than i pull it , the rudder move a little and the play is on the upper hinge, i can say 1 mm or at max 2mm

My plane has 150 hour must i change something? In the maintenance manual i haven't found nothing.
Good job Kris!! As an instructor I have found that most 17 year olds are not focused enough to accomplish what you have done. Too many distractions. Sounds like the Navy will be lucky to have you.

Congratulations. You made a good choice. You're really going to like it - and it's economical to fly so you will fly it more.

I was just out in mine this morning. Took off just after sunrise, CAVU day. Went to the coastal range, saw some wildlife and generally enjoyed the cool, crisp morning. Now I can face the day and still afford to put gas in my SUV!!

After loosening with channel locks I wrap a small baggie around the filter and unscrew it the rest of the way by hand. No mess.
