Thread: Alcor TCP No longer recommened by Rotax

We have recieved some information from the Factory regarding the us of Alcor TCP. Field experience and a number of SIRs have recently been examined and Rotax has come to the conclusion that the chemicals in that particular additive have been having a very negative effect on our engine driven fuel pumps. The additive has been found to be to aggressive and maybe leading to premature fuel pump failure. Until further notice Rotax would like you to immediatly stop the use of the product! It appears that Decalin is not an issue as the chemicals in that particular product are not as harmful to the diaprams.

Decalin has always been my first choice just because of the harsh chemicals in TCP.

Not to mention it doesn't have the corrosive agents that TCP has so it can safely be transported in your aircraft. This is important considering most of us only use it when we are away from our home airport and are forced to use 100LL.
