    Default CTLS World Flight

Am I missing something. I can't believe the lack of press regarding the two incredibly brave Swiss pilots circumventing the globe in their CTLS's, especially from organizations like EAA and AOPA. Their adventure ranks number one in the advance of light sport capability.

Below an excerpt of a quote on their round the world blog of one of the pilots of this adventure:

"The aeroplane, let’s speak about it ! After each flight the same reaction and question when doing some (painful) steps on the tarmac and around our CTLS, how is it possible ? How is it possible that our little mosquito of 100 horse power and 350 kg empty weight have brought us so far already, endure such payload, fly in such condition ? It is absolutely unbelievable… Céline and Dreamcatcher have become a lot more than aircraft !"

This is one of the best testimony I have seen about the CT and it is based on FACT!

No other single engine plane (either LSA or regular) can come close to this performance.

The Indian Air Force flew a CTSW around the world, too. It seems no one is using another LSA manufacturer for these types of flights. I would think that would show up in Flight Design's advertising. Forget "obsession with precision" how about "When you are planning to fly around the World, more people choose Flight Design than any other LSA." If it can take you around the World safely, it can get you to your burger safely, too.

    Arnold... I agree

I've emailed all the aviation news reporters and editors that I can find addresses for.... and asked the same thing - "how can you totally ignore this story". We can hope that they'll come up with something good when the journey is over...
