"SCOUT" rules and regs posted on FDUSA
Scouting for Flight Design could earn you $1,000 referral payment.
Flight Design GmbH has initiated a new program called Flight Design Scout for “approved”
pilots or owners who brings new customers to Flight Design.
A scout is an owner or operator of a Flight Design plane who is interested in finding potential
customers for our business. A scout can be a student pilot who rents a CT from a flight
school, an owner or an FBO where a CT is rented.
We know that our best supporters are our owners, and that Flight Design USA cannot attend
every local show and airport—but you can! We are offering $1,000 for every Flight Design
airplane sold through a legitimate lead sent in from an approved Flight Design Scout.
www.flightdesign.com/lead where approved Flight Design scouts can register people they
think will be a good candidate for the purchase of a Flight Design aircraft. This program will
help us find people who may want to buy a CT, CTLS or MC, and help your local dealer find
that person.
1. The SCOUT concept
Flight Design GmbH allows qualified persons to apply and register as SCOUT. The goal for a SCOUT
is the generation of sales leads for Flight Design airplanes. Each lead which can be converted to a
sale is compensated with the so-called SCOUT-Fee.
2. Application as a SCOUT
Application as a SCOUT is possible only through the Internet. An applicant must show appropriate
background. The judgment about accepting or rejecting an application is solely at Flight Designs
discretion. Once an application is approved, the SCOUT is enabled to enter sales leads in the online
system which then goes through the lead management process. The use of the online system is free
of charge for the SCOUT.
3. The Lead management process
Flight Design will check a new lead against existing leads. Only leads which are recognized as new
leads (non-redundant) will be accepted. An accepted lead is than allocated to an approved Flight
Design dealer. The dealer will follow up with the Flight Design sales process (e.g. contact the
customer, invite for a test flight, write offer). If the dealer can transfer a lead into a sale including all
administrative details (such as customer registration) the SCOUT is eligible for the SCOUT FEE. The
SCOUT Fee is paid out by Flight Design directly to the SCOUT. If a lead has no follow up activity by
the dealer for more than 8 weeks it expires. In the unlikely case of competing leads in the system
(more than one lead for one buyer) will the SCOUT Fee be shared in equal portions between the
SCOUTs who have entered a lead for this buyer.

4. Taxes
It is solely the full responsibility of the SCOUT to make sure that SCOUT fees rendered are taxed
according to national/regional rules.
5. Disclaimer
* Acceptance of SCOUT applications: All SCOUT applications must go to Flight Design via the online
application process. Flight Design will review the individual application for relevant background to
approve the applicant as a SCOUT. Acceptance of any SCOUT Application is fully subject Flight
Designs discretion.
* Cancellation of SCOUT: The SCOUT can cancel his/her contract at any time. Existing leads in the
system will not be affected by such cancellation. Flight Design reserves the right to cancel a SCOUT
contract at any time without any explicit reason. Existing leads will not be affected by such decision.
* A SCOUT indidvidual has to work exclusively for Flight design and must not be involved in any
activities with another airplane manufacturer. Any of such competitive activity leads to the loss of any
entitlement of SCOUT Fees immediately including existing leads. * Damage claims in the case a
SCOUT does not comply with the exclusivity will be limited to any outstanding fees or cancellation of
the SCOUT contract.
* Acceptance of all leads is subject to Flight Designs discretion. Flight Design reserves the right and
will reject leads in case of redundancy. No entitlement of the SCOUT individual against Flight Design
shall ever be created if Flight Design rejects a lead. Should redundant leads exist in the system and
such lead can be converted to a sale will Flight Design allocate the SCOUT Fee to the originators of
the redundant leads pro rata. No entitlement of SCOUT individuals shall ever be created through
such pro rata allocation.
