Default Curious from UK - CT variants w/ VP prop?

Hi, first post here, all the way from the Surrey Hills in the UK.

Question - Anyone know if a VP prop has been tried on any CT variant? The speed range looks like it might make the cruise even more relaxed than at present.

Have sold my SkyArrow 650 G-BXGT for more than I paid for it, so am looking for a different machine with more cruise and longer range. Europe is a nightmare of regulations and not sure if the more stable CTLS will be available in the UK. Anyway thanks in advance for any replies or not if there aren't any!

PS Used to fly from Gnoss Field when I lived in Larkspur CA. '78-'84

    Hi & welcome,
I understand a CT2K had a vp fitted a couple of years ago. Check with Oliver from P & M & he can advise. The only thing against it would be the weight added but other microlights have had VPs fitted without issue. Once they sort this EASA stuff out I look forward to re-registering mine at 600kg & a VP will be one of the first things added.
Flew with Westcoastoz in Perth last year & he had one fitted, along with autopilot 2 x Dynon etc etc lucky bugger

FD actually delivers CTSW with a Kaspar VP prop. Most of the Ct's in Canada have this version installed. Works well. I converted mine to a CS prop, even better.

Neuform now have an electric constant speed prop available (see Page 6 here http://www.neuform-propeller.de/Propell ... 080215.pdf ) and if I replace my CTsw I would probably go for that instead of the manual inflight variable pitch prop I currently have fitted.

Hey Mal....when are you coming to Perth again?

    Regards

    Dave

My ctsw 2007 has installed one constant speed prop. I'm very happy of this prop, it works fine. If you want some details ask me.
