Default Difference in landing old CTsw and 2006 CTsw

    Hi All
I am hoping that someone may have had some experience in landing the old model CTsw and the new 2006 model CTsw with the revised tail and could let me know the difference.

My old model one took some getting use to when on final and as I am waiting on delivery of my new 2006 model CTsw I am hoping it will be a bit easier.
    Regards

    Ian

    Default landing 2005 / 2006

There is a distinct difference in landing a CT2K vs. a CTSW(the 2K floating much more and requiring more touchdpown "feeling") but I don't find the 2005 and 2006 very different. I find a CTSW trimmed at the right speed and with a hair of touchdown power is very nice to land.
Whenever I have pilots in trouble with the final flare it is mostly:
    - aircraft trimmed to slow which usually ends with some ballooning acts and a final plonk from a high flare
    - aircraft trimmed too fast which would usually end with flying it into the ground and bounce(which I usually avoid by helping out with some assisting stick work)
    - flare not finished which makes for a touchdown a bit above best touchdown speed

    - perfect landing speed always depends a bit on the conditions but in smooth conditions I approach at 55 kts, go over the fence at 50 kts and let it settle down and tocuh down at about 40 kts.

    cheers

EWS...I assume the above speeds are for 30 flap landings...can you expand on this so as to give speeds and tips for 15 flap and 0 flap landings.

    Thanks

    Default landing speeds

for 0 degrees I use 60-65 KNOTS as my approach speed(depending on smoothness of wind conditions) with about 56-58 KNOTS over the fence and then let it settle down and land. For 15 I cant remember exactly as I don't use that very often. I'll check the 15 speeds this weekend if I don't forget.

0 and -12 landings feel very much like an attitude of a three point landing in a taildragger aircraft.

    cheers
