On that same trip I flew 200 miles at 7500 ft with a 20+ knot tailwind with an indicated 147knots groundspeed...problem was, I had to return at 3500 ft in that same headwind...slower, turbulence, autopilot altitude wouldn't hold...

I may not get to post here too much anymore cause I just got a '77 beech sundowner....my first plane!
