Thread: high wind

Saturday I landed a 2006 CTSW in a 19 knot head wind with gust to 29 knots. I used 15 degrees and had an indicated airspeed of 75 knots over the threshold...held it off and floated quite a bit but it landed with hardly a problem...i was nervous but then suprised how docile it was.

I just did a 15 degree landing on 27 with winds out of 360 15kts gusting to 24 and variable from 190 to 300.

I used 62 kts and didn't float at all, had to dance a little on the pedals but like you was suprised at not suprises. I also elected to land mid field due to most of the variableness seemed to be at the west end.

My confidence continues to build.
