Default Became a sport pilot today!

Mark with new pilot's license 01-14-10.jpg

Passed my check ride and became a sport pilot today, flying CTSW N357JD based at our East Hill Flying Club in Ithaca, NY. Many thanks to fellow forum members for their advice and encouragement over the months of my training. Special thanks to Roger Lee, who has been so generous with his time and expertise!

Congrats, you'll love it. Only thing better would have been if Cornell had beat KU

Many thanks to all--from near and far-- for your congrats and encouragement. I immediately went out today and got my Class III Medical Certificate and am beginning work toward my private--so the learning adventure will continue.

Arnold--you're so right but even so Cornell put a very surprising scare into Kansas. If Cornell can get back to the NCAAs for the third year in a row this season, I think they'd have a good chance of winning a round!

I should add that I'm a Syracuse alum but my favorite team is whoever is playing KU.

Interesting: since SU and KU aren't major rivals, why the Jayhawk hatred?

I'm not a Kansas fan, but I do have to say that the "Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk" chant is the coolest in collegiate sport--perhaps particularly because it doesn't mean much of anything!
