Thread: New Ohio CT'er

Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a CFII, just got checked out in a CTSW at a local school, and I'm looking forward to spending some time getting more familiar with it soon if the #^%&^&^ Cleveland weather would cooperate. It's a blast to fly, and after some hand/eye/brain gain adjustments I'm comfortable landing it as well.

Do you fly into and out of Medina? I've been into Akron Fulton and Port Clinton (Carl Keller Field).

I do fly out of Medina, not with the CT, though-they're at Lorain Co (LPR) a few miles west. I love Akron Fulton-just tons of history there!! The new FBO uses the hangar that used to be a Corsair factory during WW2. I have a few pics of a Corsair that was built there when it came home for the airshow this spring. Not quite ready to teach in the CT yet, a few more hours of playing around with things and I should be good to go.

I think I saw you yesterday at Zone Aviation, LPR. I was the one renting the CTSW 40HA. First time taking up my Wife since passing the Sport Pilot checkride a couple weeks ago.

Yes that was me! Congrats on the checkride! After the first solo, it's the most memorable event of your flying career. How did your flight go that day?
