Hi Roger H.,
Is there any way we could have a live chat section? Then we could all interact if you wanted instantly.
Hi Roger H.,

That is a good idea as long as it can be done just between individuals we want to chat with.

Roger Lee,
It's possible to have a chat feature but here's my concern....
The board is a learning tool for all I think. The "posts" are important and accomplish this. I'm afraid that chats might contain "important stuff" between individuals that we might all want to see and learn from.
So I'm hesitate to initiate it but I'm keeping an open mind...would like feed back from more of you.
Roger H
you probably only want to chat with certain individuals. currently our profiles include:
MSN Messenger:
Yahoo Messenger:
AIM Address:
since i use google talk i think it should be added to the list.
we can simply check the profiles of those we might want to chat with and invite them using any common chat service.
Roger
In the Australian forums we have a video/audio/text chat rooms but they don't get used that much - an expensive addition to the forums but the objective was to in the future have live presentations on topics of interest e.g. maintenance issues on a rotax where a rotax representative gives a presentation and viewers, who don't need a webcam etc can ask questions by text - it is all recorded and available later to watch from the forums.
I think a very worthy addition however as I said the cost is very high - but we will be doing it very soon.
Regards
Ian
