Thread: Alberta or British Columbia Fly-In in the future

Canada has recently made it easier (and cheaper) for LSA to cross the border, and are planning to alleviate the need for a medical cert. in the future as well. Once that occurs, I would love to tour the areas of British Columbia and Alberta. The Canadian Rockies area of Banff would be an amazing area for a Fly-In. Any CT owners in the area that would be willing to host and arrange one, in 2012 or so?

Yes, I think there are six or seven CT's now based in Springbank or High River (both near Calgary and Banff). We can look into setting something up. I am in High River (CEN4) which is uncontrolled and less busy than Springbank so might be a good location. High River is just south of Calgary and is about 25nm east of the Rocky Mountains. Many interesting flights both east (if weather is not so good) or into mountains to Banff (can't land there), Invermere, Golden and other locations. Will talk to some others up here and see if there is interest in pursuing idea.

I would love to add Canada to the list in 2012.
