I normally fly with a passenger who is not a pilot, my wife. The stick is really in her way when we are on a long trip. It would be nice to be able to take it out and put it in the baggage compartment.

Any day you can get airborne is a good day.
I removed the boot and took a look a while back... it looked like the stick was removable with a couple of bolts. Am I missing something? I'm sure there would be some microphone switch wiring to disconnect, too.

360+ hours of CT flying fun!
I saw a CTSW that had the passenger stick removed. The guy who did it cut the two wires that run to the press to talk switch and put slide connectors on them for easy removal and replacement. The two bolts were a simple removal. However, this is a modification to the aircraft, although minor, and should be approached as such.

You could use a couple quick release pins, you can find them where you buy sailboat hardware and sometimes at OSH.
Just get it approved from Flight Design USA and you are set.
