Hello,
I would like to introduce myself to this wonderful site, my name is Joe Weathers and I am on here to find out how many of you are sick of waiting for your rotax to warm up??? Are you sick of putting tape on your radiator?? Are you looking for a better solution to this cold weather hassle?? Well, My partner (Dan Davis) and I have come up with a slick resolution to this problem. We are calling it the "Metro Weather Mod". Comes after our company, Metro Aircraft Maintenance & Avionics located in Lakeville, MN (KLVN).
The "Metro Weather Mod" is in it's early stages of approval, but let me tell you this thing works great!!! It was 7 degrees (F), we took a CTSW out and we were clear for Take-off in approx. 10 min. After take-off and in cruise the mid-range oil temp was 200-210 degrees (F). This Mod can be controlled from inside the cockpit by a push-pull cable located above Pilot's left foot, so when it warms up outside you can easily push in for cooler engine temps.
If you are interested in this Metro Weather Mod let us know and we can put you on the list to get one as soon as we can finish production.
I will have pictures and a demo video hopefully this week.....so stay tuned!
Thank you!
