Hi Guys,

Just a quick suggestion and not any big issue. It is just a heads up. After you have had the firewall blanket installed and you have flown about 50 hr-100 hrs or at you next annual have your mechanic put a wrench on all the bolts that go through the firewall. There are 6 engine mount bolts that will probably need to be tightened.
Another biggy is all the bolts that have some type of grounding wire. The battery, starter, regulator and ground bolt through the firewall up near the top of the firewall on the left side all need a wrench put on them. The firewall material will settle in a bit and leave some of these a little loose and won't give you a really solid ground. Then you might see some instrument changes. This might show up like bigger rpm drops on a mag check, lower voltage on the volt meter, a big drop in voltage when the landing light is turned on, ect. If anything you see has something to do with voltage after the firewall blanket has been in for a while just go in and tighten all the bolts on the grounds out on the firewall. This should take care of some things.
