Here are a few good articles about SLSA that may be of interest.

One thing noteworthy here on the article about "Confused about LSA maint. requirements" is that the article tells about the minimum requirements and doesn't go on to say an SLSA Mfg can put additional requirements in the maint. manual over and above what the FAA requires. Many SLSA Mfg's have their own stipulations and not all are the same nor do they have to be. For instance many SLSA Mfgs do require a 100 hr. inspection regardless of whether you use it for hire or training. That is above the the FAA requirement and is at the Mfg's discretion.
