    Default Loose front wheel ?

    I Have just purchased a CTSW , on pre flight check i noticed the wheel & lower mount have some play ( 2" ) compaired to the upper mount is this normal ?

    Kenny, do you mean movement vertically or laterally?
    Mac There shouldn't be any movement relative to any mounts. I've just serviced the nose leg on mine and will tell you all about it. For some reason I'm not able to PM you via the forum so contact me here and I'll ring you back.....

    Kenny, you have a serious problem that needs to be fixed soon. Your front end wobble is excessive. Email me, I should have the answer you need.

    the wheel & lower shaft moves left to right about 1" compared to the upper shaft which has the control rods from the pedals , i beleve this is telescpoic incorperaeting the suspention , cheers kenny d

    If it's the same problem I had, you'll need to replace the nose gear. Several CTSWs had a problem where the metal was a bit soft and wear caused the two pieces to get quite sloppy. Mine was replaced under warranty (Thanks FD!), but that was a couple of years ago.
