    Default Ailerons - Allignment Question

I have an early 2007 CTSW. When the left aileron is straight and level and perfectly aligned with the flap, the right aileron is about 8 degrees out and up - leaving about a 20mm (nearly 1 inch) gap between flap and aileron edge (obviously, the converse applies if I align the left aileron to the left flap edge), Is this OK and normal? It was delivered like this from the fsctory, but remember the wings were assembled locally after shipping in a container.

At what flap setting are you checking this? Remember the ailerons droop with the flaps. If you are at zero flaps, put the control stick neutral and the aileron trim neutral and see if the ailerons have about the same gap from the flap trailing edge, they will not be aligned with the flap trailing edge though, they will be up slightly.

With the flaps in the fully up position (-12 degrees in the UK) the ailerons are perfectly level with the flaps when the stick is in the relaxed position. With your speed limit of 120 knts in the States and limited to -6 degrees of flap you won't be able to close that gap, but that gap should be even, providing there is no aileron trim applied.
