Is the float charger for the ctsw and better than ...say the one called batteryminder?
Seems to be some really good ones out there for half of what sebring sells the ct's for!
Thanks for your input.

Kentuckynet, check out the CTEK 3300 charger. I am now using this and it is a "set and forget" charger with temperature compensation. This charger maintains AGM batteries at the higher voltage required for optimum battery life. It was recommended when I purchased my Odyssey PC310 battery. I have seen these advertised for low $60 dollar range on the internet.

The CT charger has the specs that the battery manufacturer recomended. If you look at the battery instructions, in the summer it should float at 13.5 volts, not 14.4 volts. Also the CT charger is an 8 amp low ripple float charger, for an 8AH battery. This higher amperage has the advantage of charging your battery faster so you don't have to wait so long to start. Finally 8 amps is enough to power all the avionics etc..& this is one of the few chargers that also makes a very good power supply, so you can lite everything up & make airplane noises in the hanger. This charger never peaks, or varies the voltage which is what the SBS-8 or PC-310 needs.
