Default Replacement battery needed for ctsw!

Do any of you folks know where to get a replacement battery that fits a ctsw?

I know where to get the oem product but are there acceptable replacements locally?

    thanks

It's OEM or get a LOA from Flight Design for a different battery. Some have said they are available from some of the battery specialty stores.

The Odyssey PC310 is the correct size and battery for the CTSW. I can be purchased almost anywhere. On line or locally. It is an easy battery to find. Places like Batteries Plus have it. I posted a website the other day. $157 and free shipping. The stock battery for the SW will last a long time if you fly enough to keep it healthy or keep it on a charger for long down times. Mine was 3.5 years old and still good, but I knew it was getting to be time and didn't want any issues when I travel in the next few months.

Can a guy install that replacement battery without a LOA from FD? BTW, our 2006 SW has the original battery (3 1/2 years since delivery). We put very few hours on the bird (TT 275), especially in our long WI winters, but we keep it on a battery tender full time when it's in the hangar. That's pretty good longevity for that little battery, but I'm getting a little concerned just because of the age of it.

It is a fleet approval, so yes it can be installed without an LOA. Make sure it gets put in your logbook. FD sells these batteries as replacements for the original Hawker which is the European twin and made by the same company as the PC310.
