    Default Choke Lever mod.

Hi all, I'm new to the CT forum and a licensed FAA A&P IA. I have a customer who requested his choke lever be a little longer to ease the operation of the choke.

After a little thought I ordered a new brake lever (P/N KA6010142) and used it for the new choke lever. I had to countersink the actuator hole to accommodate the existing hardware and added a door latch knob for the handle. Since the choke lever has an existing mechanical forward stop, there is no problem with the key and the lever is shorter than the throttle so there is no interference with it either.

The choke lever is very difficult to move due to the short handle. If someone needed more leverage, this might help.

All proper paperwork has been sent to Flight Design for approval. I will try to update when I recieve the final approval. As a picture speeks a 1000 words I expect they will embrace this mod.

I feel this should have been factory.

    Thanks.

    John,

This appears to be a 2005 or earlier model, with the old panel layout. The flap switch and indicator are on the upper panel.
