Unhappy CTSW AOI vs CTLS AOI

I noticed that the CTLS has double the information in it than our CTSW (2007) AOI - particularly the performance charts, etc. Is anybody using the CTLS AOI to supplement this CTSW AOI - and if so what sections can be used? Is FD ever going to redo our CTSW manual - or is that all we will ever get?

    Thanks,

Robin, which AOI are you using? The latest one is revision 7 dated April, 2008. This has been updated and seems to have more info than the original AOI which came with the 2007 CTSW but I don't think it is as good as the CTLS AOI.

    Hi Robin and John,

Your right, the CTsw AOI is a bit lacking in areas. The performance section is very weak. I use the takeoff performance charts from the CTLS AOI, I figure the acceleration to takeoff speed is very similar between the two. One problem with the takeoff chart for me is it doesn't go above 5000' DA, so it isn't usable for Bisbee between March and November. I made my own climb and cruise charts for my students, and for descent I use a standard 500fpm at 115KIAS, landing, well I haven't found a public airport runway the CT couldn't land on yet.
