Sure, but this is for applications in a soffet or other almost 0CFM air-flow settings. There will be TONS more air cooling inside the cowl just with air moving around the aluminum fins. And if you don't add tape or a glass cover, then you will let water get in which will certainly destroy the bulb.

I solved the grounding problem with our 2006 CTSW with a new grounding scheme. If you take a look at the original wiring, you can see, that the scheme, FlightDesign uses, is a daisy chain. The problem with daisy chains is, that resistors at each transition point adds up to an unknown value. Because of this, No one can be sure, that the base level the Dynon sees, is the same that the reg/rec sees for example. My idea was, to install a star-shaped grounding scheme with a grounding base, that has a well defined ground level. From this grounding base, I use several grounding straps with identical lengths to supply the different assembly groups with electrical ground.

OK, I see, my english is too bad to explain this. Here are some pictures

This is the grounding base with its ground strips

Grounding strips supporting the battery, the regulator and the starter-relais

One strip supports the engine mount assembly

Another runs direct to the engine housing (in a red fire sleeve)

And the last goes to the grounding base of the instrument panel

After this modification, we have about 200 flight hours and no sensor failures appeared anymore.

    Greetings

    Markus,
How many feet did it take to reconfigure the ground configuration? What size cable did you use?
