Default Dynon EFIS D100 builtin altitude alerter

We recently connected the sound for our XM Radio to the back of the intercom - works great. We now are also getting a loud alarm when climbing out after takeoff. It lasts for a fairly short time and then stops. I think it might be the D100 builtin altitude alerter - does anybody know if that is what I might be hearing. I know it is not the GPS alarms because I turned all of those to OFF.

    Thanks,

    Hi Robin,

It could be the Angle of Attack alert from the Dynon, I think it is there even if you don't have the AOA indicator but can be disabled thru one of the menus. It could also be the Altitude bug alert as you stated, try setting the bug to a higher altitude and see if it goes away during your climb. The altitude bug can be set from the "bug" menu.

    hope that helps
