Roger, thanks for the message! Sorry for the late reply, and sorry for vanishing (see below).

As part of the migration from ctflyer.com's old software to vBulletin, it appears that we are now more limited in the size of our Private Message box. Over the three years that I've been a member, I never deleted any PMs, so three years' worth of PMs, when transferred from the old ctflyer.com server to the new one, got me instantly over the PM quota and therefore I was unable to get any new messages. I did not notice this until now. Roger H just increased the quota for all of us and now I'm back below the limit.

I found out that with the new ctflyer.com vBulletin software we are now able to download the PMs from the server to our local computers, so this is an even better solution to the PM quota problem! Check it out: at the bottom of the Private Messages screen, it says Download all Private Messages as: XML | CSV | Text. If you download the messages as XML you can read them on your local computer using the free software vBulletin PM Reader 1.

I also found out how to make the little pictures re-appear on our posts next to our usernames. These pictures are now called avatars and you can add your avatar in the "User CP" Section (Click on Edit Avatar under Setting & Options).

I'm hope to be able to re-upload the photos I had posted here over the years and update my posts to show them again. I need to find the pictures on my computer first...

Enough technology. How is everybody doing? I'm now going back-and-forth between New York and San Francisco. All this bicoastal back-and-forth has thrown my recreational flying out for a loop, with me logging about 20 hours in my CT in 2009 (after logging almost 200 hours per year the previous three!) My 2005 CTsw, N107WW, is still based at Danbury, CT (KDXR). Recently I started flying in the San Francisco Bay area in a GA aircraft: I get Instrument lessons in a Diamond Star (DA40) with West Valley Flying Club out of either San Carlos (KSQL) or Palo Alto (KPAO). The feel of the DA40 reminds me a lot of our CTs and that's why I chose to get lessons in it rather than, say, a Cessna or even a Cirrus.

Now that I'm flying again, I ran into Karine Noel giving demos in N747LM, a 2009 LS, around San Francisco. She represents the new West Coast dealer, Flight Design West (Lone Mountain Aircraft of Las Vegas). Looks like many people are getting demo rides, and it's nice to see an active dealer out West!

    Happy tailwinds!
