For the last 3.5 years I have had good results with:

Jet Stream Products Plexi-Clear for the windows
Composiclean Super Spray Wax for the bugs
Microfiber towels from Costco for each

Of course, I usually just wipe off the bugs and brake dust after each flight since the plane is hangared. I finally washed the plane with water and the Composiclean soap for the first time this month after a week-long flying vacation. It seemed to work very well getting the plane clean again.

I use a dash of ComposiClean (just enough to make the water light pink) in a spray bottle. Spritz the wings and windows after each flight... keeps the airplane clean and the bugs slide off. Takes 5 minutes. Use old white t shirts for the white parts, and micro fiber for the windows (Never mix the two cloths as grease and oil on windows is a bugger to clean).
Flight training begins on the ground, not in the air.

I use Composiclean Spray wax for everything with a clean micro fiber cloth, starting with the windows, then the rest of the plane. If you have some stuborn bugs the composiclean view polish will take them off easily, then follow up with spray wax. After a few times using the spray wax you will start getting a nice smooth finish and the bugs come off much easier. Only use light pressure on the windows, and always a new clean micro fiber cloth. Use vertical patterns when wiping instead of scrubing in a circle.
