Default Miami - Dallas - Las Vegas - Monterey Greeting Parties?

It would be pretty cool if the Azimut270 round-the-world duo could be met by a fleet of CT's when they land at Miami, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Monterey ( http://www.azimut270.ch/en/2010.html )

Lot's of talk on this board about promoting the brand. Seems like having a welcoming party of CT's from the various regional areas might be good PR to let people know how capable these aircraft are, and that there are a good number of them out there.

The exact schedule of when they will arrive at each stop probably won't be known much in advance, but if weather and my schedule allow, I'll try to meet them in Miami.

    Anyone else in?

I'm happy to attend and/or help arrange a meeting for them. The regional dealer is at JWY, MoGas is close, good FBO.

'Would love to show up in the sky when they fly over AZ... but, without exact timing and communication, it's unlikely we could intercept... maybe Las Vegas? Wouldn't it be neat if they just happen to be in SoCal about the time of the Columbia Fly-in...... 'talk about a greeting swarm! 'Press would have a heyday...

Check out the length of those water-crossings!!! both distance and time!!!

Arrival was right on time 3:00 at OPF. Both planes and pilots were in great shape!

It was nice to see all the CT's fly in to meet them.

Thanks to Anthony for an awsome reception.

    Hey John, any pictures?

I wanted to fly down but had meetings today that I couldn't move. Did any of the Miami TV stations cover it?

    Hi Guys:

Here is a link with a slideshow of all the photos taken during the welcoming party...........after reviewing the slideshow you can click "return to menu" where you can download individual pictures.

We had a nice crowd of CT owners, staff, instructors, students and numerous local newspaper reporters..........we also had the FAA that picked up the news and wanted to meet the pilots !

    Anthony,
Thanks for the slide show it was great of you guys to lay on such a welcome for them. I have been following them every mile of their journey and I won't be well till they are back in Europe.
I sat in my hangar today with a cup of tea and just looked at the CT with even more affection than ever knowing that she'll take me where ever I fancy going. This Global trip will certainly make the opposition sit up and take note.

    Nice pics, thanx.

I hope we can have similar, or even better, receptions as they cross the USA. I've emailed several of the aero-news outlets, wondering why there is little to no coverage.... Let's help out... contact the local papers and media in the cities they'll be passing through.

Thanx to Yannick and Fransisco from all us Walter Middy types...
