    Default Plexiglass Window Crack

Flying today from Atlanta to Miami I made a fuel stop at Gainsville. It was very gusty and when I fueled one side of the tank and got off the ladder a strong wind blew the ladder and hit my passenger window. It made a hole the size of two baseballs and cracked another section of the window.

I moved the plane to a maintenance shop on the airport and they drilled the plexiglass and laced it with safety wire. Then they taped it. It got me back to Miami without any problems but it looks awful.

Does anyone know if this can be repaired or do I need to order a brand new window from FD?

I know you don't want to hear this, but it's a new window. At least this will be a easier than a front windshield.

Had the window replaced.........it only cost $2,500.......ouch ! Had the insurance cover it completely.

Now as soon as I step off the fuel ladder, I drag the ladder with me. Learned my lesson.

Anthony, who did your repair? Did you take any pictures of any of the different stages of the repair. Just curious as to the process one must go thru to replace the window.
