    Default Brake bleeder.

When I replaced the original wheels and brakes on my CTLS with the Matco units I was left with a master cylinder (the one of Italian manufacture).

When I replaced the manual Neuform Prop Pitch Control with the Electric Constant Speed I was left with the manual control lever... so I came up with the idea of marrying them to make a brake bleeder.

A Windshield Washer bottle, a shut-off valve (Fuel shut-off valve from when I installed the Andair Fuel Control Valve), some 1/2" thick HDPE and modified stainless steel brackets completed the construction materials I used. All up it cost me "almost nothing" as it was from discarded parts - the HDPE was lying around the shop. In reality it has most likely cost an arm and a leg, but the parts would be discarded anyway and not re-used on the aircraft.

Works like a dream as you can control exactly the amount of hydraulic oil going into the system through the locking lever, and when ready shut-off the oil and close the bleeder ports on the brake calipers.

Very handy to have around "just in case" and it all comes from discarded parts so when you get work done ask for those old bits back... never know what you can use them for.
