    Default Telex 50D's

I took advantage of Sebring's sales price on their Telex Stratus 50D's and I'm happy I did. They're the "hard wired" type and what a pleasure it is not having to play around with a remote on the cord. They are a little less comfortable then the Bose but noticeably more quiet - I think I'll survive!!

John Hurst helped me out with the extra wiring parts and "be sure to's" - thanks John.

We still have some left from Sun 'n Fun. We will discount these for CT owners only.

    And, your welcome Roger!

    Glad you like them.

    John,

I'll call tomorrow and will probably have some questions about hardwire vs. portable. Thanks for the quick response.

    Default Hardwire

This is my first set of "hardwire" headphones. If at all possible I'll never go back. No more fumbling and twisting around to push some buttons or do slider switches. The sound cancel button and volume controls are right on headset easy to work.

Have one one hour and one three hour cross county on the 50D's with no missing my Bose.

As I stated earlier - they do seen to be a notch quieter.

Oh, and did I mention "no batteries"

With the sale price from John and the Avionics shop charge to wire they ended up to be around the price of the Bose.

Please don't tell my passengers - they're gonna need to wait a while!!!

    Roger,
I thought that you had been using Zulu's?

    Default Zulu's

I had but they are sitting on the bench getting ready for their second trip to the repair shop!! I have them for the "bluetooth" arrangement but for some reason they keep developing an annoying hiss and I didn't find there "noise canceling" to be as good as either the bose or the 50D's. Bluetooth was a little iffy as well but they are 3rd on my list.

I just ordered two from Sebring. $549 each includes the hardwire jack. Plus S&H.
