    Default Telex Stratus 50 Headset

    I have owned 2 sets of Telex Stratus 50 headsets for about 2 years and on both pairs, the leather lining on the ear pads have separated from the inner core.(see picture)
    I have tried re-glueing them but it does not last. My wife's headset has had only slightly less use but has gone the same way.
    Has anybody had a similar problem with this particular headset and have you managed to find a lasting fix?
    Apart from this small problem, we are both delighted with the Telex.

    Have you tried warranty from Telex. If these were Bose they would cheerfully fix them at no cost. Their product support is amazing. They dont seem to care how long you have owned them either.

    The warranty is 5 years and thanks to your suggestion I have contacted the Telex Tech. Support to see what they can do or suggest. Our problem is that being on the other side of the world to the USA, it becomes a fairly expensive logistical exercise to send them back for repair, so if we can find a way of fixing them here, then that would be the preferred option.
    I expect this may not be an isolated case and others may have had a similar problem with this particular headset.

    This is probably a silly question but the ear cup cant be replaced as a unit? Bose regularly hands out new foam cups for free if they are crushed down a bit.

    I too have exactly the same problem. bit disappoined considering this is a top shelf unit. Cannot seem to locate agent in Australia...David

    David.......Today I received an e-mail from Chris Stockton at Telex (USA) and he advised that the warranty was 3 years but did not cover the ear cushions as this was a "wearable" item and suggested I contact the agents in Australia to buy a replacement set.
    He sent me a list of the agents for this region and the nearest to you would be in Melbourne....see below:-

    I too am disappointed that after 200 hours use, the cushions have broken down but I guess we will have to live with that.....otherwise I consider them to be an excellent headset.
