Default Garmin 370 and 375 - Expandable, Panel Mount 696

Garmin has announced the G370 and G375, which are basically panel-mount versions of the 696 that can also be expanded later to function as a PFD and also an EMS. This isn't entirely unexpected given that they were developing this for the C162 Skycatcher.

The 375 is the version with XM, and it's about $1000 more than a 696. It does make for easier installation, but that's about it. Garmin is saying that the package to convert a single display to a PFD - includes a AHRS unit and EFIS interface - will be about $10k. That's a lot. You're talking about $15k for a single display PFD / EFIS

Not sure what this will mean for us. I'm not going to rush out and buy one, but there are those that will. Also, it's already a tight fit in the center stack, and I don't think it will fit in the left or right side panels.

The Dynons are overkill for the CT; a complete Garmin EFIS would be even worse.

Im showing it to be about $700 more and am going to go with it. It looks much more expandable option wise for down the road and dependent upon what other options can be attached to it. I like flexibility.
