    Default 696 install

Here's some pictures in reference to the 696 install from FD. They are courtesy of John Hurst at Sebring Aviation in Florida. There's a new piece that moves the Carb/Cabin heat up to the "glare shield (appropriate term I think)".

Against Roger Lee's recommendation I'm excited to get the two new peices and get my 696 installed!

(Please be aware this also calls for some "paperwork" from Headquarters!)

The pictures dont show the new heat cables mounted in the glare sheild, why? I belief they dont have the new bracket or mounting plate yet. I dont think the cables are going to look very good mounted there anyway. Have you ever seen anything sticking out of a dash pad on a car? My cables are going to mounted above the PFD. My avionics man has them installed there allready and he says they work great. We have one small problem now, we cant find a data cable anywhere and Garmin is out until Febuary. Anybody has one for a 696 I am willing to be bent over a little bit to get one now.

Very exciting! I think we'll have this done with our annual in a few months.

    Default 696

    Hi Roger H,

Not against my recommendation. I only said you could have spent that money on your nice wife for X-mas!
Not to mention I just look out the window for free.

The Cabin / Carb heat molding is from FD, the rest is from Sebring Aviation. - John

    Default Cables

I don't see why the cables would change. They are only being raised up a couple of inches.

    Hi guys:

I picked up my CTLS yesterday from Sebring Aviation. Here are some pics. I added the 696 and Monroy Anti-Collision. The carb and heater buttons were moved to the top.
