I missed the comments, Roger, but I get sea sick so don't want the waves to be too high while cruising down thru the high deserts of Nevada. There are not many strips down thru there too, and very few roads. Anyway, I have a new forecast too and it does look like we can make it down, just getting home on Sunday may be a little harder. But you know things change. We are still planning on coming. Spud.

    Default Motion sick

    Idaspud,

I too get motion sick very easy. Cars, planes, boats and carnival rides. The best drug that I found that doesn't wipe you out is Merazine. Over the counter little white pills. Take 1 hr. before flight and I don't get that funny looking green color. :P
I have a few friends that use it, too and they seem to like it. Comes in a box of 12 for about $6 or I get it in a bottle of 100 on-line.
I have tried them all and this one seems to work.
Dramamine only helps an upset stomach, but doesn't take care of the cause. Motion sickness comes from the middle ear hair follicles becoming hyperactive and that brings on the nausea, headache and vomiting. Merazine, Bonine and the Scopolamine patch work to desensitize those middle ear hair follicles and that stops all the other symptoms. The Scopolamine patch is pretty heavy duty and make many people very tired and dilates the pupils so they may have a little blurry vision, but the other two meds don't. We are all nothing, but a skin covered chemical factory so sometimes one drug may work better on one person verses the other. I have tried Bonine and it doesn't do as well for me as Merazine, but Bonnine may work for others.
