    Default Motel Reservations

There are two viable options for staying in McCall. Across the street from the airport is the Super 8 and down the street about a quarter mile is the Hunt Lodge (Holiday Inn). My preference is the Hunt Lodge, it is much nicer and is across the street from the Pancake House where the food is excellent and we can meet for dinners too.

The rates for the Hunt Lodge for a King bed is $116.10 for Friday night and $125.10 for Sat/Sun night, plus tax.
The rooms with two Queens are $9.00 more. These rates are 10% off normal summer rates, but the tax is 11%, so we just about break even there. Remember, we are a resort town.

The web site for the lodge is www.thehuntlodge.com and the phone number is 208-634-4700.

Be sure and ask for the "CT Fly-in" rates, quoted above.

Remember we have a free city bus shuttle for getting around town, like down to the beach, the golf course, or back to the airport if you don't want to walk that far. Bus information is at www.treasurevalleytransit.com and www.mccall.id.us for the schedule for the bus. I think we can call them to get special runs for a group.

And the gas station that has ethanol free gas is half way between the motel and the airport, about 0.15 miles by my odometer.

Rates for the Super 8 are $105.45 inc tax, if you prefer to stay there. (two queens) Phone is 208-634-4637.

I recommend that you make your reservation now, as they will hold a block of rooms until 30 days before the fly-in, then you take your chances.

Looking forward to seeing you all, Mel

    Mel,

I just called the Hunt Lodge and talked to "Katie", and she didn't know anything about the block of rooms that you reserved. Maybe it takes a while for the word to filter down.

    Default Will call the motel

Thanks for the note, will call the motel tomorrow and straighten it out. I made arrangements with the general manager, that should be good enough, you'd thunk. Mel

    Thanks, Mel,

If I can help you out with the Fly-in, please let me know. I can make phone calls, or come over a couple of days early to give you a hand.

    Default Room Rates

The Hunt Lodge is holding the rooms for us at a 10% discount until 30 days before the event of July 9th. As summer is coming up on us, please don't wait too long to get your reservation called in. Call the Lodge at 208-634-4700 and be sure and ask for the CTFlyin rate.

Default New rate for the Super Eight Motel

Harold Thomas, whom I bought my CT2K from, has gotten us a better rate for the Super 8 across the street from the airport. (He has more influence than I.) The special rate is $89/night and be sure to ask for the CT Flyin rate, if you wish to stay there instead of the Hunt Lodge. I assume this is plus tax. Either place is alright, the Super 8 is closer to the airport, the Lodge is a little fancier and closer to the Pancake House, both will be fine. Phone no. is 208-634-4637.

Default Last day for the CT FLYING discount

The last day for the CT FLYIN discount of 10% at the Hunt Lodge is June 9th. Get your reservations now if you want to stay at the Lodge and save some money. 208-634-4700. The Super 8 discount rate of $89 is good until the 2nd of July then goes to $109. 208-634-4637. There is a big wedding that same weekend and they are taking up a lot of rooms in addition to the usual summer crowd.

    Spud.
