Thread: Thinking about this summer fly-in

Hi all. I am going to try to get better motel prices and will post them tomorrow so we all can get our reservations for next summer's fly-in to McCall Idaho. It will be here before you know it. The enclosed picture is taken from due north of McCall about 25 airmiles from a mountain top (about 8200 ft.) I snowmobiled to it a couple of days ago. I know I should have been flying but the plane is in Boise, 100 miles away. The first lake about halfway down the canyon is upper Payette Lake and the small white spot at the far end of the canyon is the main Payette Lake and McCall is at the south side of it. The valley then goes south another 40 miles towards Boise.

By the way there is a gas station within 200 yards of the corner of the airport that has non ethanol gas. ($2.19/gal right now for 91.) We'll figure out a way to shuttle cans over if anyone wants to. Getting excited already about being able to see a bunch of our planes here and you all too. (and warm weather) PS; we have great snowmobiling here if you want to come early.
