    Default 2008 possible schedule thoughts...

Thought for 2008 Fly-in Schedule if in McMinnville

Wed: Dinner at Kame’s Japanese Restaurant

Thurs: Breakfast Fly out 8:00 – 10:30 Mulino
11:00 -12:00 Seminar (to be announced)
    12:00 – 2:00 Lunch
2:00 – 3:30 Flying in the Pacific NW
    4:00 – 4:30 Welcome talk by Tom P
    6:30 Dinner Bistro

Friday: Breakfast Fly out 8:00 – 10:30 Independence
    11:00 -12:00 Garmin Seminar
    12:00 – 2:00 Lunch
2:00 – 3:30 Flying the CT seminar tips and tricks
    6:30 Dinner / IMAX Movie

Saturday: Breakfast Fly out 8:00 – 10:30 (to be announced)
    11:00 -12:00 Dynon Seminar
    12:00 – 2:00 Lunch
    2:00 – 3:30 Rotax Engine Seminar
6:00 Pig Party / Dance (live music)

    Sunday: Go home!

And for those not interested in Flying stuff:
Friday: Tour of Historic Downtown McMinnville
    Saturday: Winery Tour

Additional notes: instead of Tom doing work on CT’s in the open. We will schedule him (if he comes again) and put him in a hanger where the work is done out of the way.

    Demo rides will be scheduled.

Schedule Rust removal flights: have professional flight instructors available for you to brush up on your skills. Short field landings and takeoffs, slow flight, stalls, - whatever skills you need a little practice with.

If we decide on McMinnville I will put package prices together including Lodging/Meals/car rental, etc. probably allowing some savings.

    What else?

    Default Possible 2008 Schedule

The schedule looks good, I have the following suggestions:

    1. I think there needs to be more time set aside for the CT Seminar - Tips and Tricks, it is the most important item for us as owners and should last at least a whole afternoon.

    2. I also think we need to come up with more and different things for the gals to do during the day.

    Default The better halfs...

    Alan,

Do you or better yet your wife have any ideas? Would they enjoy a shopping trip - there is a nice mall about a half hour away. Oregon's largest tourist attractions is about a half hour away as well - a casino!

I'll work on the CT seminar. Maybe we could have two - each with a couple of topics.

    Default The better half's

We, (mainly my better half) will do some research and get back to you.

The Casino is not a good idea, could get real expensive, especially if we aren't there

    Default Hotel Oregon Rooftop Bar

I'd recommend a reception / get together at the Rooftop Bar on top of the Hotel Oregon in downtown MMV. Definitely a cool place, provided it doesn't rain.
190 hours in the CT and have loved every one.

    Default Trip to the Ocean

A trip to the ocean sounds great, we will have to get input from all the gals when the Fly-In date get's closer.

    Great Idea Roger !

    Default Outing

One thing we might consider is to not have a breakfast fly-out one day, (let everyone sleep in and have breakfast with the wife or friends) and fly to the coast for lunch.

That way we can take our wifes with us. We could have one of the seminars, (garmin or dynon) in the AM and meet at 11:00 for the lunch fly out to the coast. We could have an alternate location lined up in case of fog.

    Perhaps on Saturday ?
