For those of you that burn MoGas without ethonal....
We might have it on the field for the fly-in BUT FOR SURE it will be with-in a twenty minute flight to obtain it! Lebanon airport has it now and Mulino should have it by May.

Roger,
I heard that Lebanon had mogas but didn't see it the other day when I was there. Do you know where it is on the field? Is it 87 or 92?
Will McMinnville have mogas permanently and will it be 92?
I will happily use any of these locations for an excuse to fly and not get stuck with ethanol provided it is 92 and the vendor isn't overpricing.

John,
Great timing. I literally just got back from Lebanon to buy MoGas, 92 octane, no Alcohol. Great FBO guys. They are taking over Mulino and Cottage Grove as well and plan on having non-alcohol MoGas there too. I'm going to drive over and fill up a couple of drums to bring home and use them to fill up my "filler". Price for the premium was 3.37 I believe. It's all almost to good to be true. States he's got a good supplier and a back up!
One end of the tank is AvGas and the other is MoGas...East side midfield or so.
Roger
Thanks Roger. Sounds like my next trip, both in the plane and in the truck!! The price is so good because the aviation fuel tax is probably less than the highway gas tax.

I recently purchased the EAA fuel tester and have found that in southern California, both Shell and ARCO have 91 octane with less than 5% alcohol. I expect that will change when summer arrives, as CA requires 10% in the summer, but for now the ethanol content is within ROTAX specs. This fuel tester is also available at most Pilot shops, and it only takes 10 minutes to check the fuel.
Hi Folks,
I'd like your help in putting together a list of U.S. airports with either high-octane Mogas on the field or with automotive gas within walking distance. I think this would be a useful tool for trip planning for those of us who would like to minimize our use of leaded fuels.
To start out I've used an FAA database to come up with a listing of airports with Mogas. For the most part I think this is 87-octane fuel, but the database also shows which of these airports have 100LL available too and mixing may be a viable option.
Otherwise I have added airports I have heard about on this forum, like Lebanon, and those from my own (limited) personal experience.
I have presented this data in the attached Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
I would appreciate anyone with further knowledge of airports with unleaded fuel either adding that information to the spreadsheet, or just posting it in response to this request and I'll add it to the spreadsheet.
The specific information I would like is:
1) State
2) City
3) Airport ID
4) Airport name
5) Octane (if known)
6) Whether 100 LL is avaible too (this is for fields with 87 Octane Mogas)
7) Alcohol % (if known)
8) If the fuel is on the field or not
9) Location on the field, if known, or direction & distance off-field (if less than a mile by foot)
10) Hours of operation (if known, or "self-serve", or "private" if its a personal stash that you are willing to sell)
11) Telephone number (if known)
12) The source of the information (your name or where you heard about it)
13) Any other comments of interest
I would appreciate your help with this.
Thanks,
Mike Koerner
